Freelance writing up, blog writing down
If you’ve ever worked in the freelance industry, you know that the work is anything but consistent. Sometimes I go days or even weeks without a significant assignment (don’t tell Erica) and then all of a sudden I’m hit with a massive amount of jobs all at once.
Look back at the dates of my blog postings and you can pretty much tell when I’ve had a lot of work coming in. The past four days, for instance. But! Let me tell you, the work that’s been coming in recently has been fascinating.
I’ve drafted blog posts about menstrual cups and ovulation tests, and written Tweets about personal lube and PCOS. For money! I think my favorite was when I got to transcribe a phone conversation of a long-distance spiritual therapy session … for a dog.

I swear I’m not making that up. AND better yet, now that I’ve finished the transcription, I’m a believer in long-distance spiritual therapy sessions for dogs and considering hiring the therapist to work with Chulo’s crazy ass. So. How about that?

It’s magical. I work in the wild and wonderful world of Internet marketing and coaching.
The keywords in the latest assignment? Cervical mucus.
