I have a crush.
You guys know Rachel Maddow, right?
As you may know, Rachey and Blagojevich (I know you know who he is.) had a little chat tonight. She is obviously not a fan of his and was doing her best to get him to tell her the truth about this whole senate deal. Rachel’s interview was tough and straightforward and generally awesome. Then, before she began her discussion with some other guy about whether Rod had admitted his guilt during the interview or not, she told an anecdote about her first meeting with him.
I’ll paraphrase.
I was standing there at the door of the meeting room next to this huge television. I’m watching the broadcast of the Senate listening to the Blagojevich tapes and taking notes when the door opens and it’s Governor Blagojevich. I turn around and say, “Hello! Governor Blagojevich.” He says, ”That was weird.”
She laughed and then said, “Say what you will about him, the Governor nailed that moment in those three words.”
Can you imagine someone like Sean Hannity telling a charming story about first meeting a liberal democrat? Even one who wasn’t facing an impeachment trial?
I love her.
