My Latest Mission: Twitter

In an effort to increase my readership and expand my reach to more people, I decided that today was the day for social media. You see, I’ve been working as a writer for Internet marketers and SEO experts for a couple of years now and I know a lot of the ins and outs of creating an Internet buzz.

In fact, I’ve been in charge of writing a blog specifically geared toward marketing online for the last year and a half so I figured I might as well start following my own advice.

This morning around 8:30 I had something like 55 followers on Twitter. I made 100 followers my goal for the day. I figured it was early, so maybe I could get another 45 folks to join my feed. It felt like I was pushing it, but aim high and all that, right?

Well, I started looking around for people to follow in hopes that they’d follow me back. Twitter imposes a 1000-person limit on how many feeds you can choose to follow per day and I hit it. Then I just sat back and waited.

It’s now 11:30 and I’m at 205 followers and counting! That’s right. I’ve doubled my goal in less than two hours. I am a Twitter master! Now … to figure out what to Tweet.

Hey Donna - thanks for checking in!

I’m certainly not a spam bot and … I promise I’m not going to be like one of the hundreds of folks who follow people just to advertise how hot and horny they are. I mean, seriously. What is that about?
